Our Founder
Jesse, the visionary behind Ice Dam Steaming, has spent well over two decades professionally removing snow and ice dams from roofs across the country. His journey as a residential and commercial roofer began shortly after high school, as he began working with union and non-union roofing companies, thus gaining invaluable hands-on experience, training and insight into the challenges posed by snow and ice dams on roofs. As a roofer Jesse was trained to be on roofs in the winter to remove snow and ice dams and stop roof leaks.
Jesse’s roofing background and training are paid forward today as he trains each crew member personally. His profound understanding of roofing systems and the importance of maintaining the integrity of roofs during the snow and ice dam removal process are taught to each two-person residential crews and to the larger commercial crews.
Absolutely Clean Window Washing & YouTube Channel
In 2010 Jesse establish Absolutely Clean Window Washing, a successful cleaning and ice dam removal business that has served many locations with distinction. Jesse added steam ice dam removal to his services during year one and quickly became a trusted name in the industry. His dedication to excellence and customer satisfaction earned him a reputation of reliability and truthfulness.

IDSAFE (Ice Dam Steaming Association For Education)
After removing ice dams in Buffalo NY and Boston MA in 2014-15 and learning about companies damaging roofs, Jesse created IDSAFE (Ice Dam Steaming Association For Education) for consumer education. After the ice dam season in Boston ended Jesse was contacted by an insurance inspector who inspected roofs after ice dams were removed. He called to inquire how Jesse removed ice dams without damaging the roof he was currently inspecting. He stated he inspected hundreds of roofs prior that were all severely damaged from hot pressure washers (a nameless, professional looking ice dam removal business) claiming they were steaming. Ice dam removal in Boston was epic to say the least. We helped many customers and did a news story and an interview with MPR covering our service. However, as a dedicated roofer, the drive home was filled with concern for the innocent homeowners who got their roofs damaged. On the long ride back to MN, in the mind of a caring roofer, IDSAFE was born.
